She became close friends with Itachi and Shisui when they were kids and was Sana's babysitter. She became Sana's babysitter so her and her mother could spend time together without anyone suspecting anything.She helped Itachi and Shisui by persuaded Fugaku and the others to stop the attack on the Leaf. The clan went into hiding until they could come back. She kept her promise to Itachi by watching over and protecting Sasuke when he was in the village. Her and Itachi started to date when they were 16. She stayed in the village after Sasuke left and would have secret meetings with Itachi. 
She finds out she's pregnant when she was 21 but keeps the father a secret.
